Dr Marzia Rahman

MBBS, BMedSci, FRACP, FRCPA

Dr Marzia Rahman is a Melbourne clinical and laboratory haematologist with advanced subspecialty experience in malignant haematology, multiple myeloma, stem cell transplantation, CAR T-cell therapy and clinical trials.

She graduated from the University of Melbourne with degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Medical Science and completed dual fellowship training in clinical and laboratory haematology, becoming a Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2022.

Following specialist training, Dr Rahman undertook a Myeloma Fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and a dedicated CAR T-cell Fellowship at Alfred Health. She then trained in London as an Early Phase Clinical Trials Fellow at the NIHR Clinical Research Facility, University College London Hospital, working across multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukaemia trials, before completing a Bone Marrow Transplant and CAR-T Fellowship at King’s College Hospital. She returned to Alfred Health in 2026 as a Bone Marrow Transplant Fellow, with a particular focus on allogeneic stem cell transplantation, pre-transplant assessment and post-transplant care.

This breadth of training gives Dr Rahman experience across the continuum of malignant haematology, from diagnosis and conventional systemic therapy through to transplant, bispecific antibody treatment, CAR T-cell therapy and other advanced cellular approaches.
