Her medical career has included training in both the United Kingdom and Australia. She completed foundation year training at Rotherham General Hospital in South Yorkshire, core medical training at Whittington Hospital in London and commenced oncology training at Kent Oncology Centre, before continuing specialist training at Canberra Hospital and Austin Health.
Dr Hafeez was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017 and has completed a PhD through the Tumour Targeting Laboratory at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.
Dr Hafeez is passionate about patient-centred care and committed to promoting and enhancing high-quality care, strengthening research skills and access to cancer treatment, advocating health equity and supporting patients to live the life they value during treatment.
